Some people think just because they put a cover on the mattress they are protected from dust mites. It all depends on what type of mattress cover you use.

Not all mattress covers are allergy covers. Not all allergy mattress covers are comfortable.

Over the years mattress covers used to fight allergies, mainly dust mites, have gotten better, lighter and cooler. In the beginning people slept on a heavy rubber mattress cover and talking about hot. I would rather sleep on concrete.

Now there are companies that will tell you that dust mite covers do not work and are a waste of money. Funny thing is I’ve yet to find a doctor that will agree with that. The there are also people that will tell you it is all you have to do to be cured of your allergies to dust mites. Wrong again.

Taking care of your dust mite allergies is not a single thing you can do or a product you can buy.
